It seems whatever we have learned as children is taking a beating today.
This report says that trees can actually contribute to global warming!
Wait! Before you go and chop off that tree in your backyard, let me tell you, this statement is true only for the snow covered northern areas. In the tropics, closer to the equator, trees still are the best air conditioning system outdoors!!
And the myriad advantages of trees surely offsets this one particular small 'disadvantage'.
